Letting your Inner Goddess out to play

“I am fairly certain that given a cape and a nice tiara, I could save the world. ”

― Leigh Standley

When we were girls, we loved to dress up. Some of us liked to dress up like a princess or a ballerina. I, for one, was into Wonder Woman. I still remember running around in my Wonder Woman underoos convinced I was invincible. How easily we used to be able to step into the shoes of our inner hero, to dance in and embody the characteristics of our Inner Goddess with complete belief that, at least for those times we were wearing our "cape and tiara" (or our underoos), that we were her. What does your inner Goddess look like? Does she have a favorite get-up?

Exercise:

Today, wear something that your Inner Goddess wears. And play that you are her, at least for a few hours…the whole day if you are feeling brave and adventurous! Really get into it. Believe it. Take a few minutes this morning to get clear on the details. What would she say? How would she relate to others? What would she eat? What does she look like? How does she feel? (this is an important one….to feel what it feels like to live in those shoes.) Try it. It's an enlightening experience. And fun too!

How did it go? How did you feel? What did she teach you?

Move in Love.
